Bicycle License

Bicycle license registration for the City of Chilton is easy. 

The City of Chilton Police Department recovers bicycles each year and they usually go unclaimed.  One of the most important things to do to prevent your bicycle from being stolen is to lock your bicycle, even if you are only going to be away from it for a short period of time.  When you lock your bicycle, the lock should be placed around the frame of the bike and then to the rack. The bike rack should be in a well lit area to help deter opportunity to a potential thief.

Registration provides for bicycle identification, theft deterrence, identification of riders, and ability to return recovered stolen bikes to the registered owners.

The registration application form listed below is information that is required to obtain a bicycle license from the City of Chilton.  The registration fee shall be $5.00 and be a permanent license for the bicycle. All bicycles must be registered, except that newly purchased bicycles and bicycles brought into the City shall be registered within 10 days of arrival or purchases.
