Family Units
Twelve family units are scattered throughout the City of Chilton. All units feature three-bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a living room, kitchen with electric stove, refrigerator, and a laundry room hook-up ready for tenant owned washer and dryer. Families receive a utility allowance and are responsible for heat, electric, water, and sewer.
Who is Eligible?
Public Housing is limited to low-income families and individuals (handicapped or disabled). A Housing Authority determination of your eligibility is based upon:- Annual Gross Income
- Whether you qualify as elderly, a person with a disability or as a family
- U.S. Citizenship or eligible immigration status
If you are eligible, the Housing Authority will check your references to make sure you and your family will be good tenants.
Qualifications Needed
Annual income is the anticipated total income from all sources received from family head and spouse and each additional member of the family 18 years of age or older. Applicants for family housing must meet the following yearly income limits (income limits are subject to change each year):
