The Chilton Police Department, along with other city officials, feel a responsibility to continue with basic safety procedures in the event of an emergency that could arise during our Christmas parade this Saturday. December 3, 2022 (Parade starts at 5:30 p.m). The Chilton Holiday Celebration and Parade of Lights will still be a celebration of the season; however, we have been preparing to make sure we have a safe and enjoyable event in our community not only for our citizens, but also for all our participants.

That safety includes additional barricades being set up by Department of Public Works employees, along with increased physical police presence for the entire parade route.

IMPORTANT – THERE WILL BE NO PARKING ON EITHER SIDE OF THE PARADE ROUTE. These safety measures are being done to make the event still enjoyable and safe for all involved. Officers will be out prior to the parade to pass the word regarding the parking restriction and to get vehicles moved off the route. If you wish to view the parade from your vehicle, you may park in either of the parking lots of the Calumet County Courthouse, 206 Court St., Chilton, Wisconsin 53014.

About 30 different groups, organizations, businesses, and volunteers are committed to participate in the parade.

Parade Route: Starting at 5:30 p.m. on Court Street in front of the Chilton Elementary School; east to N. State St.; north on N. State St. to Grand St.; continuing east on Grand St. to Reed St.; south on Reed St. and ending near the Chilton Fire Department.
