Adopt a Fire Hydrant
Citizens are asked to adopt fire hydrants in their neighborhoods by keeping them clear and shoveling them out after heavy snowfalls and ice in the winter. Drifts created by snow plows can cover fire hydrants making them difficult to find. IN the event of a fire, firefighters must locate and shovel out fire hydrants before hooking up to them, wasting precious time.
Let's work together and make sure each neighborhood hydrant is clear of snow by shoveling a 3 foot clearance on all sides of the hydrant.
