Property Tax Payments
Property tax payments are collected by the Calumet County Treasurer's Office, 206 Court Street, Chilton, WI 53014
Payment is due January 31, 2025, unless the installment option is indicated on the tax bill and can be paid in the following ways:
- If you choose to pay your taxes in full, payment is due by January 31.
- If you choose to pay your taxes in two installments. The first installment is due by January 31 and the second installment is due by July 31.
Delinquent tax notices are mailed in February and August of each year.
Payment methods: Payments may be made by cash, check or credit card. Checks payable to Calumet County Treasurer.
Drop Box: Calumet County Courthouse has a drop box installed on the southwest corner of the Courthouse Main Building (near wheelchair access parking).
In Person: Payments can be made at Calumet County Courthouse—Treasurer’s Office, First Floor, 206 Court Street, Chilton, WI 53014
Hours: Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Mail: Payments that are mailed must be post marked no later than the payment due date. Include a self-addressed envelope for receipt.

Please do not drop tax payments off at City Hall or City Hall Drop Box.
Wisconsin Lottery/Gaming Credit
Wisconsin Lottery/Gaming Credit is available for your primary residence only. If eligible for the credit as of the January 1 certification date, but your property tax bill does not show the credit you may:
- Claim the credit by applying to the municipal treasurer where the property is located by January 31 after you received your property tax bill
- File a late claim application (after 01/31) with the Wisconsin Department of Revenue by Oct. 1, after your property tax bill is issued.
