Qualifications
You must have lived in your home as of January 1 for the year you are claiming. This must be your primary residence. You can only have one primary residence.
- A primary residence is the home in which a property owner lives for more than six months of the year.
- If temporarily away, a primary residence is the home to which the owner returns.
